NewWorks of Art by Lauren Belley

Lauren Belley has always been drawn to creativity, with a strong foundation in design and a lifelong passion for painting. I worked as an Interior Designer for 10 years before becoming a stay-at-home mom. Now that my kids are older, I've returned to painting and creating original NewWorks with renewed energy. My practice spans a variety of styles, including large-scale acrylic portraits, mixed media pieces, and an array of sketches and magazine doodles. My mixed-media collages embrace a surrealist approach, seamlessly blending fashion-inspired motifs with bold abstract forms and geometric patterns. Many of my ideas begin as sketches and concepts while I am traveling--headphones in, letting the music guide me. The patterns and doodles seam to pulse and evolve in rhythm with the beats playing in my head, bringing the pieces to life before they ever touch the canvas.
